Even on a brutally frigid Minnesota January this place was packed with families, couples and individuals soaking up the warm vibes. The minimalistic decor strikes a good balance between being cozy and trendy. They have a good selection of specialty drinks, pastries, and breakfast food. I went for a plain latte; it had a slightly bitter espresso with low acidity, but it was well-made. Despite the busy atmosphere, the service was friendly and prompt. It was fun to see regulars striking up conversation with the baristas. They also have an Airbnb seemingly above the cafe? Overall, a great spot, and I look forward to trying it again in warmer weather.
I come here all the time!! Im not a huge coffee drinker, but the atmosphere is great. It's cozy with exposed brick and great music that chain coffee shops are missing. The cocktails in the evening are also fantastic. I like coming here to read, write, or get some work done. My only complaint is how early they close on weekdays!

Fun coffee, flights, specialty lattes, pastries, and limited cafe food items - all yummy. Staff is super kind and the environment is quaint. With good weather, the outside patio is a peaceful place to relax and enjoy.
Unmatched atmosphere and quality of products. The menu is so well put together. The nose warmer is a fantastic hot coffee, but the Carver crush is the best drink they offer! We frequent Getaway as often as we can, sometimes twice a day.
We stopped here on a Sunday morning right when they opened at 8am - we seemed to be the first customers of the day and by the time we left 30 minutes later the place was humming with people. We got coffee and some bakery items. The drip coffee was excellent and priced well. The quiche and the hand pie were both really good as well. They also offer outdoor seating which looked nice for warmer weather days. We will be adding this to our Sunday coffee stops.
Such a cute coffee shop!! The indoor and outdoor seating are very nice! The citrus spark is the PERFECT espresso tonic drink!! The breakfast burrito was good but nothing out of this world!! I will definitely be back
Amazing atmosphere and aesthetic! I love that the owners renovated this historical spot to be an amazingly cozy and comforting spot with awesome coffee! We are frequent visitors and love their lattes! We’ve also done their wine and cocktails after 4pm, which is a great option to have in downtown Carver where there are mostly dive bars. Absolutely love this spot and worth a visit any time. I would love to see more food options in the future as the menu is pretty limited but they Always have really good baked goods, some hot food items and donuts on the weekend.
